Meet Kyle + Bailey.  Their story really has blessed me.  These two love each other greatly.  I could see the acts of service that they each bestowed upon each other as soon as I arrived to their home.  They celebrated 6 years of marriage in August and their journey has brought much laughter, growth, and tears.  It’s been GOOD.  It has been a season of waiting and one of the things that they have waited for is to grow their family.  Congratulations on the little one on the way.  I’m so incredibly happy that this season will be a time that you two will retell over and over again.  Thank you for letting me be a part of such an intimate moment.

During their session, I asked them questions about their marriage that were meant for them to answer to each other.  They also read letters to each other.  It was a very emotional moment.  I’m incredibly thankful for being privelaged to be a part of such intimate moments.  Below you can see some of the images from their session.  I’ve also included a few pieces of their letters.  Happy 6 year anniversary!

Dear Bailey,

Every person has a story to tell.  Our stories are the memories of what we have experienced, where we have been, how we have developed, and who we have become.  Each is unique.  Over the last week as I have considered what I want you to read from me, I have become full of gratitude.  I think that you are the most beautiful woman I have ever met.  You shine from every angle in my eyes.  Even the parts of life that most people hide from the view of others are precious with you.

As I have reflected on our life together, I know that I receive a profound gift every day that I have with you.  With all that has already been in our lives and much more than that still to come, I want you to know that I choose you again this morning.  I will choose you again tomorrow.  And every day we have together.  I love you deeply.  You are my favorite person.  You are going to be a mother of unrivaled brilliance.  I’m beyond excited to grow our family and live life with you.  You make the world and especially my life more full of love.

Dear Kyle,

Every day of our marriage, I’m reminded that you are God’s provision for me.  This new season of life together in new career paths, our own home, and expecting our first child has caused me to reflect upon the last year.  We’ve taken major risks, gone on lots of adventures, and suffered through deep longing and doubts together.  I’ve come out on the other side of all of that in a healthier place both emotionally and spiritually because of your constant encouragement and love.

I love you.  This love come from the deepest parts of my soul and bubbles up at the simplest moments…when  you kiss me good-bye in the morning and leave breakfast on the stove, when you show up with “just because” flowers, when you whisper, “God be with you” before we drift off to sleep each night, and now when you rub my belly and talk to our baby about all the fun adventures we’re going to have.  These beautiful moments are treasures in my heart and mind.  I feel so blessed to be in this season of life with you; it’s the fullfillment of several years of hoping and praying together.  As I savor this moment in our love story… I look forward to the next chapter.
