Dear Grace is something truly special to me.  One of the reasons why I chose the business name was because I wanted my children to get a glimpse at the things their mama loved.  I wanted to speak to them through images of our everyday lives.  In a sense, Dear Grace has been my love letter to them.  Writing a letter to them has allowed me to look at our lives and appreciate that it is so beautiful, even when things are hard.

With that in mind, I have been encouraging families that have booked a session to take a moment and soak in their lives.  There is much preparation when it comes to planning for a session.  Everything is intentional and REAL.  Through the session planning, among many other questions, I ask my parents: What do YOU want to remember when you look back a few years from now?  It has really been an interesting project and process as it’s allowed families to really appreciate the season they are in with their children.  So without further delay, here are two precious letters from a Mom who’s heart is full of appreciation.  Thank you, Christine, for allowing me to be a part of this intimate process.  Thank you for letting me take a glimpse of the gifts that surround you daily.

My sweet Olivia,

    Wow, how you’ve grown! I can’t believe you’re 5 years old and getting ready to start kindergarten this year. You bring so much happiness to my day. Your love and excitement for life is contagious! You are such a special gift from God. I love watching your imagination go! You are such a smart little girl and I enjoy seeing you learn and experience new things. Your love and protection of your little sister warms my heart. I LOVE watching you play together. The two of are always creating new games. One of your favorite things to do is look at books together and read stories with Mommy and Daddy.  Sisterhood is such a special relationship, and I can’t wait to watch yours grow and grow. I am so proud to call you my daughter. I will forever be grateful to God for who you are and who you will become.

My darling Audrey,

            Oh, that little face! You are such a sweet and spunky two year old! You make Mommy and Daddy laugh all the time with your silly dances and the little words you say. I love the way you look up to your sister. I see you wanting to be able to do all she does as you learn so much from her. I pray you will be best friends forever. I love watching you play. Your imagination is contagious along with your sweet smile. You bring so much enjoyment to my life. You are growing so fast that I wish I could freeze time and keep you my baby forever. I pray for you and your sister to love Christ and grow to be strong women of God.  You are my joy and I will forever be grateful to God for who you are and who you will become.
