CLASSES
INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHY
Introduction to Photography will give the student hands-on experience with shooting with a DSLR in manual mode. Along with experimenting with the camera, there will be activities to put things into practice and learn more about different styles of photography. Some of the topics that we will touch on are histograms, f-stop, aperture, ISO, depth of field, history of photography, and much more. The goal is to have the student dabble into photography and build confidence in telling stories. Photography is a wonderful side job to help pay for college books ;). On hands experience will be provided through photographing art shows, non-profit events, and sessions through out the year. Students will also build their community service hours through these events.
Age Range: 8th-12th
2025-2026 Fall Classes are closed. Please send us a message if you would like to be put on a waiting list.
CYANOTYPE WORKSHOP
Dear Grace Photography offers a class where participants learn to create photographic prints using a process that involves light-sensitive chemicals and sunlight. Participants will typically learn to coat paper with cyanotype chemicals, expose it to light with various objects or negatives, and develop the prints to reveal a unique Prussian blue image. All participants will go home with an 8x10 piece of art.
Minimum of 6 participants will be required for class to take place.
